I first heard Dirty Projectors when my friend Caroline snuck me and my friend Whitney into their SXSW showcase this year. They completely blew me away, and soonafter they gained a massive amount of deserved hype for their incredibly original sound. Their UK only EP that was supposed to be out in September, then pushed to October is floating around the internet, and it includes a few tracks that didn’t make it to Bitter Orca, including ‘Ascending Melody’ which is an airy track filled with female harmonies layered over male vocals, chaotic guitar sounds, clap tracks and ‘ooh ooh oohs’.
