I’m a huge fan of Faces on Film – so much so I named this blog after one of their songs. So if you dig this blog, you’re going to love this band. Shaking Through – a Philly-based non profit project that documents the process of an artist recording one song from start to finish, just did a session with Mike of Faces on Film for his song, “Waiting for GA”. It’s something special. Marissa Nadler curated this performance and collaborated on it, I’m a huge fan of hers as well. Shaking Through does such a great job at really revealing the story and the person behind the song, and their description of Mike as unassuming and modest is spot on. He’s one of the most talented dudes I know, but also one of the most humble. I’m grateful to have stumbled upon his music years ago because in a way, it led me here. Download the track here.
