I recently came across Edmonton artist, Ghibli after discovering his remix of Jessica Jalbert‘s Aubrey De Grey and it is fantastic. He’s got a knack for combining electronic vibes with a bit of soul. His take on Aubrey De Gray feels almost like it’s got this 60s lounge music sound. The cyclical vocals are almost hypnotizing, as you wait for a little relief he holds on a little while longer until you hear the words, “you’re gently used, put on your shoes, these tombstone blues” and everything seems symmetrical.
