I forget how I found out about Jordan of Mutual Benefit, but ever since I’ve been throwing his tracks on mixtapes to friends and, boyfriend.. It’s so dreamy and romantic, like I’m slowly breaking through still waters underneath a lagoon, into a world created by Nathaniel Whitcomb (see: dream-like collage maker) I posted their video created by Nathaniel in honor of Delicious Scopitone. It’s simply beautiful- and not only that, but Jordan heads up a very cool project called Kassette Club- which is a blog/record label/radio show, it’s all about creative collaboration and celebration of art. Looks like he’s got a ton of rad stuff going on.

Jordan was sweet enough to put together a little mix for me called “Teenager’s Letter of Promises” think of it as a love-mix you’d send to someone if you wanted to show them you were thoughtful and had a thing for French music, the sixties and young love. I’ve been listening to this mix on repeat, jamming out to “Mama Said” while folding laundry. I’ve been so amped to share it with you guys, enjoy!
