Quiet Lights // 3 Songs

are a Brooklyn-based act that have that breathy eighties quality similar to Beach House. Powered by soft female vocals surrounded by cascading percussion and electric guitars. They describe it as something more than dream-pop/shoegaze, I would classify it as something more spiritual. Something that allows for a deep exhale, slipping into the lightness of it all. Their very name is calming. The album is getting mixed by John Congleton (St Vincent, Explosions in the Sky) then mastered by Alan Douches (Frightened Rabbit, Sufjan Stevens). I would say they’re poised for an elegant introduction into the blogosphere with that stellar roster of artists sharing their musical architects.
