Love Lake :: Curses

Love Lake is a Minneapolis-based bedroom project, who is basically just one dude named Anders Carlson who bedroom-surfed three bedrooms in 2 years to make his debut album. The album will be out Sept. 12th, and based on what I’ve heard from this track, I couldn’t be more excited for it. It’s being mastered by Alan Duches(Animal Collective, Sufjan Stevens, Mastadon) and he’s also sent along this lovely video that is footage he found while working at an 8mm to DV transfer shop he worked at. I didn’t know they had those. This is a really catchy pop song, with a warm sing-along chorus that’s just really fun. It’s got that carnival, marching band quality that feels very fourth of July. I’m so looking forward to more from Love Lake. You must grab this track.
