Africa is so hip, right? If that’s the case then, psh.. I’m years ahead of the game, my job used to be to tell high school kids JUST how hip Africa is, and that they need to work together- I guess our advocacy rubbed off on them. kidding! I’m just intrigued by the onslaught of African-inspired jams that have emerged in recent years, and wonder where it came from. I personally love the infusion of different sounds, I’m into the whole safari thing and think there is great beauty in African tribal music, there’s just something happy about it.

So I’m very pleased to share with you all Golden Ages new 3 song EP aptly titled, ‘Africa’, including the cover of Toto’s Africa. You can definitely tell the heavy Animal Collective influences, which reminds me, I was listening to Strawberry Jams the other day and completely forgot how good it was!
