Boston trio ! may be ending it off on a grammatical note with their apparent final album, ‘Received Pronunciation’ out on Slumberland. A more minimalistic indie pop album, it’s a follow up to last year’s Alison Statton.
Their song ‘Cold Hands’ is a super catchy, perfectly pronounced simple song following narratives of an awkward adolescent with lines like, “your cold hands make me nervous”. With a cracking voice he claims he is not scared of any one place or thing, but girls? That may be another story. The songs of their new album are a delight, hopefully there is more to come from them.
