The Oregon duo ‘s debut, ‘Ultra Violence and Beethoven’ is built on bass, echoey vocals and synth and a name stolen from A Clockwork Orange. It’s like if Thom Yorke, MGMT, HEALTH and Animal Collective were to get together. OH WAIT, they all play the same music. Anyway, this song is pretty catchy although sooner, rather than later, I will outgrow these whailing indeciferable lyrics carefully glossed over by lo fi recordings and a steady beat. Either that, or soon I’ll just start making music in my bedroom, seems formulaic enough, yah?
