Ha-Ha-Heart
Brooklyn based/Florida born band is like a mix of sufer punk with light fifties melodies and 80′s pop. They have those new wave vocals and sing about wanting to go surfing, with a ‘don’t care about nothin’ attitude. Their EP Summertime is better heard on the West Coast, but these suspiciously bronzed beach boys have journeyed farther north to NYC with sufficient buzz surrounding them.
Maybe it’s the premature summertime-withdrawal that amplifies their popularity, because it seems we’ll listen to anything that speaks of, mentions or sounds like summer up here. We’ve already dusted off our jackets and turned up the thermostat- so a little beach meditation is much-needed. As my friend Ross would say, ‘pretend it’s not cold, just pretend it’s not cold’. Ross- that never works.

Three things:
1. It DOES work.
2. You CAN’T turn up your thermostat, because your furnace is broken right now.
3. Today was just an irregularly cold day for October, so stop whining… you’ll be gone before it REALLY gets cold ‘up here.’
Ross wins.
