This post is in honor (or in spite) of my friend Brooks who insists that low quality recording is the best way to ruin a song. He doesn’t like much of anything that is lo-fi, see: polaroids, records and the physical manifestation of such grainy simplicity: beards and second hand clothes. He is arguably the anti-hipster. It’s fine really, but whoever was opposed to being hip anyway? Keeping in line with my obvious protests over his distate, here’s a boy/girl psych-folk act called Drug Rug from Boston lead by Tommy Allen and Sarah Cronin. They’re playing August 18th at the Horseshoe. Hooray.
